Artificial Intelligence (AI) promises to change every single part of human culture and life. It has crawled into all walks of life from complex tasks to our everyday ones. Filtering your emails, helping us to check plagiarism, categorizing your emails, and asking questions from Siri or Alexa, AI does it all!

Effectively, instructive systems all around have changed drastically due to the usage of AI. With learning material available through cell phones and tabs, students presently don’t require to depend on traditional books. Again, online foundations are developing all through the globe, making learning easily accessible within the comforts of our homes. A very recent example to which we all can relate is this covid19 pandemic. Learning hasn’t stopped and students and teachers globally are successfully and effectively addressing the teaching-learning process.

AI provides free time to Educators

Evaluation of the academic assignments of students in the present times sometimes becomes a herculean task for the evaluator. It is tedious and time-consuming. We must realize that innovation can help in robotizing this errand, leaving instructors with more opportunities to spend on teaching their students. Pushing ahead, programming that can review composed answers and articles will likewise be actualized in instructive organizations. This implies that the instructors will have the option to all the more likely use hours they spend evaluating tests. However, any grievances of unjustifiable reviewing by educators may increase. School administration will be another domain that will change through AI as the arrangement of administrative work become robotized.

Growth of online education system

As AI keeps on changing and empowering the educational backbone, an ever-increasing number of students will opt for online and digital classes in the coming years.

As per the study made by KPMG India and Google (2017), the online education system in India currently stands at the US $247 million with an average of 1.6 million users; it is expected to grow to the US $1.96 billion with around 9.6 million users by 2021. Digital India and Skill India are among the several government initiatives launched to spread digital literacy in India. e-Basta (schools’ books in digital form), e-Education (all schools connected with broadband and free WiFi) in all schools, development of pilot MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses), NandGhars (digital tools as teaching aids), SWAYAM (MOOCs based on the curriculum taught in classrooms from 9th  class till post-graduation), and India Skills Online (learning portal for skill training) are some of the initiatives that Indian government has taken.

Identification of personal learning need of students by AI

Every child is unique and has a different set of learning abilities. With the help of AI and its analytical data about how a child performs, instructors can create personalized learning needs and evaluate the performance of the student in a more appropriate manner. Today, with the use of AI, educators can identify learning disabilities in a child also. Current testing methodologies are not so effective in terms of identifying the exact disability. In many of the countries, AI is being used to develop the best of the testing patterns. Based on the results acquired, educators and special educators can plan the right interventions promptly.

Not only this, but educators have also always carried the burden of completing the syllabus on time. And that pushes a child to speed up their work and in the procedure, this results in missing concepts. With the use of AI, educators can take regular feedbacks and assessments of students and plan the remedial classes accordingly.

Looking at the current scenario, it seems that AI and education are blending in such a way that it seems to be the most necessary, effective, and futuristic innovation by mankind. Hence, it will ease the life of educators and students and customize quality learning in future times to come!
